Intermarket to build major Waterloo Region industrial site

It took 12 years to assemble the land and go through the approvals process, but Intermarket Developments is ready to launch the 400-acre IP Park Industrial Campus in Cambridge, Ont. Intermarket Real Estate Group founder and president Mark Kindrachuk expects his Toronto-based development and management company and the City of Cambridge to start building roads for the site in the spring and for construction to begin on the first two phases of IP Park Industrial Campus next summer.

Office occupancy growing in Canada’s biggest cities

The Canadian office market saw overall occupancy grow by an annualized 2.3 per cent in the third quarter, and vacancy rates continued to fall in most of the country’s six largest cities, according to a new Colliers International report. Broccolini unveils details of Montreal’s tallest residential tower

Broccolini has unveiled new details and several modifications to the design of its Victoria sur le Parc, a 58-storey tower which will become the largest residential high-rise in Montreal when it is completed in 2020. The project is Broccolini’s “most ambitious yet” and comprises one of the final redevelopments in Montreal’s International District.

GWLRA buys U.S.-based Guggenheim Real Estate LLC

GWL Realty Advisors Inc. says it has a deal to purchase Guggenheim Real Estate LLC (GRE) through its U.S. subsidiary, GWL Realty Advisors U.S. Inc. The transaction will be the second major purchase this year for GWLRA US. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but GRE manages gross assets of US$1.8 billion.
